Willaims, a 5-9, 165 corner, committed during his visit to the West Virginia campus.
Williams was a two-way starter at wide receiver and cornerback at Mesquite. He missed part of his junior season with strained knee ligaments, but was still rated as one of the top 100 players in Texas by Heartland Recruiting. The injury hasn't appeared to have affected him, as his 4.4 forty time attests.
Hopefully, Williams will not be the last commitment from this weekend's visiting group. Several players, including lineman Jamal Cooper and linebacker Jay Henry, look to be leaning toward the Mountaineers.
