Wofford Rounds Out 2005 Schedule

West Virginia University will face the Wofford Terriers during the 2005 football season, according to athletic director Ed Pastilong.

The game will be Saturday, September 10, at Mountaineer Field at Milan Puskar Stadium.

Wofford was ranked 18th last season in I-AA, with an 8-3 record; the Terriers won the 2003 Southern Conference championship and advanced to the I-AA semifinals that year.

Mike Ayers, the 2003 Eddie Robinson national coach of the year, is in his 18th season on the Spartanburg, S.C., campus. In his first season as a head coach, he beat a Rich Rodriguez-coached Salem team 45-0 in what was Salem's final varsity football game.

WVU will have other 2005 home games against Pitt, Louisville, Connecticut, Virginia Tech and East Carolina. Road games will be at Rutgers, Syracuse, Cincinnati, South Florida and Maryland.
