Player of the Game - Seton Hall

Senior forward Tyrone Sally had a big first half to help propel the Mountaineers to their 96-86 win over Seton Hall.

Sally scored 14 of WVU's 41 points in the opening half, hitting six of his nine shots from the field as the Mountaineers opened up an early 15 point lead.

"I knew after my first shot that tonight might be special," Sally said. "It felt good, so I wanted to take advantage of it."

The Virginia native had nine points in a four minute stretch of the first half to push West Virginia out to a 28-15 lead, but he didn't stop there. He added 11 points in the second half to finish with 25, the seocnd highest total of his career.

He finished the game 9-14 from the field, including 3-5 from three point range, and made for of his five three point attempts. In 34 minutes of action, he also corralled five rebounds and three steals while dealing an assist.
