Player of the Game - Rutgers

On a day when just about every Mountaineer played well, we go with a senior leader for our player of the game.

Duriel Price's line score won't open anyone's eyes or get much attention, but his emotional leadership on this year's Mountaineer squad is deserving of attention, which is why he is our player of the game against Rutgers.

Of course, Price's single hoop drew rave review from his teammates. Entering the game with two minutes to go, the Buffalo, N.Y. native drove the lane and tossed up a twisting, leaning shot that found the rim and fell through the hoop for a score that rocked the Coliseum. Price's teammates probably enjoyed the score more than he did, as he received lots of good natured kidding about the lack of artistry on the shot.

"We were all looking for rabbit's feet in his pockets," fellow senior Tyrone Sally said after the game. "We were glad to see him get that basket."

And while players like Sally (11 points) Kevin Pittsngole (14) and Patrick Beilein (12) no doubt had more of an impact on the game, no player has had more impact on the team throughout the season.
