Syracuse Quick Recap

WVU again dug themselves an early hole, again ralled, and again fell short as they dropped deeper into the Big East cellar with a loss to Syracuse. Again.

Mountaineer fans have seen this plotline before. West Virginia played like a grade school team in the opening half and trailed by 17 points at halftime.

WVU then rallied on the strength of pressure defense and crisp shooting to tie the game at 58, but then reverted to their earlier sloppy play and lost by a final count of 76-64.

WVU was outrebounded by the Orangemen 40-35, and surrendered 30 more shots to the nation's 17th ranked team.
