Knapp, Abraham Head All-Academic Football Team

Fullback Jeremy Knapp and wide receiver Seth Abraham headed WVU's list of ten players on the 2001 Big East All Academic football team.

Knapp and Abraham were both four time selections to the squad, which recognizes letterwinners who have posted a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or better.

A total of 10 Mountaineers made the list, marking the seventhy consecutive year that WVU has either led or tied for the lead in number of players on the squad. Boston College, Miami, Pittsburgh, Syracuse tied West Virginia for the most honorees on this year's team. The Mountaineers have the most all-time selections with 81 in 11 seasons of BIG EAST play.
