Just Across the Border

West Virginia knows how to recruit Uniontown (Penn.) High School, as their recruitment of linebacker Kevin "Boo" McLee proves. Now the Mountaineers have set their sights on another Red Raider.

Wide receiver/defensive back Quindell Dean, (6-0, 198 lbs.), has already received an offer from the Mountaineers, along with offers from Toledo and Buffalo.

"I went to the spring game at West Virginia, it was real nice," Dean said. "I loved the coaches, and I like the fact that the players play to win all the time."

Dean's stock took off last week with an exceptional showing at Joe Butler's Metro-Index camp. He was clearly one of the top pass catcher's at the camp. Those that are already familiar with Dean are used to seeing him blow past on a weekly basis. In 2004, Dean caught 52 passes for 810 yards and 10 touchdowns. The versatile athlete also returned a kickoff for a score. He earned first team All-Conference, and All-County honors.

Besides the aforementioned offers Dean has also received interest from a number of schools including Pittsburgh, Miami (OH), Eastern Michigan, Akron, and UMass.

Dean has been invited to the Scout.com All-American Invitational at the University of Akron, May 28th .
