Decision Time

West Virginia's Kevin Pittsnogle has reached a decision regarding his participation in the NBA Draft.

Pittsnogle, who entered his name into the NBA Draft and participated in this week's pre-draft camp at the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, has decided to return to West Virginia for his senior season, according to a source close to the situation.

Pittsnogle had a good start at the camp, and completed one long range shooting drill by making 25 of his 30 attempts. His play leveled off a bit on Thursday, however, and he came to the decision to remove his name from the draft not long after. A formal announcement of his return to WVU is expected soon.

Pittsnogle, who will be a senior this year at his home state school, is expected to be one of the focal points of the offense in 2005-06. Last year, he averaged 11.9 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. He led the team in three-point field goal shooting with a 42.6% mark, and also hit 84.6% of his free throw attempts.

Pittsnogle will likely return to the IMG Academy in Florida to continue working on his game this summer before coming back to WVU for his senior season.
