Biggs No-Hits Bulls

West Virginia's Billy Biggs tossed a nine inning no-hitter against Buffalo on Friday afternoon at the Hawley Field to pace WVU to a 4-0 victory.

Biggs was in control throughout, walking only one batter while striking out ten. Biggs faced only one batter above the minimum, as he walked Bulls catched Brandon DiCisare with one out in the second inning.

Biggs received all the support he needed from his teammates in the second inning on an RBI single from second baseman Chad Blevins. the Mountaineers added another run in the inning on an error by Buffalo second baseman Adrian Daniels.

West Virginia added single insurance runs in the fourth inning on a fielder's choice and the fifth on an RBI double by Jarod Rine.

Biggs didn't need much insurance however, as he mowed down Bulls batters throught the contest. Biggs, the current Big East pitcher of the week, finished in style by striking out the side in the ninth.

WVU continues the series tomorrow with a doubleheader agaisnt Buffalo at Hawley Field.
