Football Game Times Set

West Virginia University has announced game times for the 2005 football schedule, but a pair of contests still have multiple options for kickoff.

The Mountaineers open the 2005 at Syracuse on Sunday of Labor Day weekend at 1:30 p.m. WVU will host Wofford at 6:00 p.m., then travel to Maryland for a noon game at the home of the Terrapins.

The Mountaineers return home for a pair of games against East Carolina and Virginia Tech, with both of those contests slated for a noon start.

WVU then makes a second consecutive trip to Rutgers. That contest is the first of two with an uncertain starting time, as either a noon or 3:30 p.m. kickoff is possible. The same is true for the Louisville home game the following weekend in Morgantown.

The Mountaineers will then get a chance to beat the heat with a 7:00 p.m. start on their road trip to South Florida, a game that starts a string of four consecutive night games for WVU. They'll host Connecticut and travel to Cincinnati on two straight Wednesdays (both 7:30 p.m. kicks), then host Pitt at 8:00 p.m. to wrap up the regular season.
