Still Flying the Flag

Mountaineer fans kept the spirit on the opening day of WVU's football season, even if they were on the other side of the world.

Lieutenant Daniel C. Sizemore, MD, a member of a medical unit stationed in Iraq, forwarded a photo of the Mountaineer spirit flying high over Al Anbar Province in Al Asad, Iraq.

The flag was unfurled on the first day of WVU's football season, and we like to think that it had something to do with West Virginia's opening day win.

Our thanks to Lt. Sizemore, not only for the photo, but for his service to West Virginia and the United States. Our hats are off to you!
