Expansion Moves

West Virginia University men's basketball coach John Beilein announced today the addition of two players to the roster for the 2005-06 season.

They are Sean Martini and Nate Tallman. The two student-athletes will join Josh Sowards and Ted Talkington as non-scholarship players for the 2005-06 season.

"After a long process in trying to replace Duriel Price, we have picked Sean and Nate to join our roster this season," says Beilein. "We are confident both young men will work hard to make us a better team."

Martini, a 5-foot-10, 150-pound freshman guard from Bedminster, N.J., averaged 18 points and six assists as a senior at Pascack Valley High. He will wear No. 10 this season.

Tallman, a 6-foot-5, 190-pound freshman forward from New Martinsville, W.Va., averaged 19 points, 12 rebounds and four blocked shots as a senior at Magnolia High. He will wear No. 25 for the Mountaineers.

The Mountaineers open the season at home on Saturday in the Guardians Classic against Louisiana Monroe at 3:00 p.m. The first game will begin at 12:30 p.m., with Wofford against Fairleigh Dickinson.
