Among the football powers looking at Rob are West Virginia, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Maryland and Syracuse. Most of the Ivy League schools like Robert also because of his combination of smarts and football ability.
On the field last year Rob showed why so many schools are taking note. He had 6 interceptions, 2 fumble recoveries and over 80 tackles while breaking up more than 10 passes. Rob also excelled as a running back were he ran for 1200 yards last year averaging about 6 yards per carry.
Moreover, Rob is a leader on the field who is noted from smart, heady play.
Right now West Virginia and Virginia Tech are recruiting Rob the hardest but don't rule out his possible choice of an Ivy school. Rob Toresco values academic as evidenced by a GPA over 97%. On the other hand, Rob also likes "Big Time Football" and "Big Time" Virginia Tech has told him that he would fit in well in their secondary where he is being projected as a strong safety. With some many choices coming his way Rob might have some hard decisions to make before this year is over.
Rutgers has shown some interest in Rob but so far have not been involved in a major way. Hopefully, for Rutgers fans that will change before recruiting season is over.
