That's not the only visit the speedy Floridian has planned, however. He also has a trip set to Southern Mississippi on Jan. 27, although he admitted that the Golden Eagles aren't in his top four. He said he will take that visit even if he makes his decision before that date – an occurrence that seems likely at this point.
"I will probably make my decision after going to Illinois," Duvalt said.
As for West Virginia, Duvalt noted that his first-ever visit to the 35th state opened his eyes a bit about the team.
"I really liked how close the players were to each other," he observed. "That's something I'm looking for. The players seemed tight with the coaches, too."
Duvalt is also impressed with the coaching staff at South Carolina. He mentioned that the staffs at both schools are easy to get along with, and that both were among the biggest positives that each school holds.
Although the Mountaineers and Gamecocks hold the top two spots on Duvalt's list, the Illini and Eagles can't be counted out yet. As Mountaineer fans saw with the commitment of Chris Neild, a visit can have a huge impact on a propsect's thinking.
