Seven First Teamers Named

West Virginia's parade of preseason honors continued with the announcement of The Sporting News 2006 preseason All-Big East team. WVU and Louisville tied for top honors, with each school getting seven players on the first team.

Offensively, the Mountaineers landed wide receiver Brandon Myles, running back Steve Slaton, and linemen Jeremy Sheffey and Dan Mozes on the first team. WVU added three defensive players: lineman Keilen Dykes, linebacker Kevin McLee and safety Eric Wicks, to the list.

West Virginia also placed three offensive players on TSN's second team. Quarterback Patrick White joined linemen Jake Figner and Ryan Stanchek on the squad.

Slaton was picked as a second team All-American and as the number four running back overall in the country.
