Camp Kickoff

With combines over, the next phase of the summer football season for rising high school seniors is underway. It's camp season at colleges and universities across the land, and for the next month schools will be vying to get visits from some of the top players in the country.

The story is the same at West Virginia, where WVU will host its largest group of campers every over the next two weeks. First up is a one-day rising senior camp on Sunday, June 11, where WVU will welcome approximately 60-65 players for a close look.

Some of the players expected to attend are C.J. Peake, Chad Snodgrass, Maurice Williams, William Alvarez, Marcell Farrish, Derek Long and Brandon Hogan. Not all of the players scheduled to attend are offers yet, but many could change their status with a strong camp session.

Also sprinkled through the attendee list are some of WVU's verbal commitments, who could help sway more players the Mountaineers' way. Offensive lineman Donnie Barclay, quarterback Bradley Starks and running back/defensive back Terence Kerns are three of the verbal commitments who will be on hand.

BlueGoldNews.com will be on hand for all the action, and will have reports and photos from all of WVU's summer camp sessions.
