Football Game Times Announced...Sort Of

West Virginia University has announced its 2006 football game times. Er, make that, West Virginia has announced ten of its 12 football game times. And of those ten, perhaps four could see the time changed due to television considerations.

All the uncertainty isn't the fault of WVU, however, no matter how much people would like to point the finger of blame at someone. It's simply a fact of life in today's television-driven world of major collegiate football.

With the standard caveat that "all scheduled kickoff times are subject to change for television", West Virginia released an almost-complete slate of TV times on Tuesday.

The four weeknight games with Maryland (7:30 p.m.), Connecticut (8:00 p.m.) Louisville (7:30 p.m.) and Pittsburgh (7:30 p.m.) are pretty much set in stone. Two Saturday games (East Carolina and Rutgers) are still to be announced. The confirmed times for the remaining six games are Marshall (3:30 p.m.), Eastern Washington (1:00 p.m.), Mississippi State (2:30 p.m.), Syracuse (Noon), Cincinnati (Noon) and South Florida (noon).
