Dolphins Release Terry

The Miami Dolphins have released former WVU wide receiver Shawn Terry.

Terry, who distinguished himself on kickoff returns at West Virginia, was released just as the Dolphins prepared to begin fall camp on July 25th. He signed a free agent contract with Miami in May.

He holds WVU's all time kickoff return records for yardage (1,747) and career touchdowns (four). He led the Big East conference as a junior with a 26.7 yards per return average.

Terry caught 42 passes for 445 yards during his Mountaineer career.
