Calloway Makes Splash

Freshman swimmer Morgan Calloway led West Virginia to a dominating victory over Marshall on her way to being named WVU's athlete of the week.

Calloway continued her breakout season for the Mountaineers on Saturday, swimming to victories in both the 100 (57.51) and the 200 back (2:05.72). The Coatesville, Pa., native was also instrumental in the first place finish by the 200 medley relay team. The squad's time of 1:43.70 was a new school record.

The three wins helped WVU win all corners of the quadrangula meet at Marshall. The ladies (3-2, 0- 2) downed Duquesne, 231–63, edged East Carolina 159.5–140.5 and blasted Marshall 208–92.

Calloway has been a major part of the rewriting of WVU record books this season. The women's new school record in the 200 medley marks the third straight week the Mountaineers have established school records. Ten new school records have been set after just three meets.
