Joe Alexander made a definite impression in his first extended action at West Virginia University's second home.
Alexander helped West Virginia
to a 71-60 win over North Carolina State
in Charleston with 15 points, including four in the final two minutes. Two of those came on a breakaway, rim-rattling dunk that put the Wolfpack away and had the crowd roaring with delight.
Alexander also helped West Virginia overcome the shooting woes that had plagued it on recent trips to the state capital.
