Defensive End Commits

WVU has received its second football verbal commitment of the week in the form of an Ohio defensive end.

Keilen Dykes, a 6-4, 250 pound defensive end from Chaney High School in Youngstown, Ohio, is WVU's latest verbal commitment. The Mountianeers now have three commits from the Youngstown area in the class of 2003.

Dykes is one of Ohio's top defensive line prospects. He rang up 80 total tackles, including 18 sacks and another 20 for losses as a junior.

Dykes helped propel Chaney to a 10-2 mark last year while earning second team Division II all state honors. He also caught five touchdown passes and averaged 20 yards per catch as a tight end. He also plays basketball for the Cowboys.
