WVU Quarterback Rasheed Marshall was tabbed as the conference offensive player of the week for his performance in WVU's 56-7 thrashing of UTC.
Marshall made his first career start in West Virginia's 56-7 win over Chattanooga. The sophomore quarterback completed 14 of 23 passes (63 percent) for 163 yards and three touchdowns. He also added a career best 42 yards rushing on 12 carries.
The three scoring tosses were also a career-high and the most by a Mountianeer signal-caller since the 2000 Music City Bowl.
Marshall finished with 11.6 yards per completion, connecting with nine different WVU receivers in just two and a half quarters of play.
