Takes In Win

West Virginia's coaching staff has responded strongly to attempts to turn Parkersburg High School offensive lineman Josh Jenkins from his commitment to WVU.

Three members of the Mountaineer staff – Tony Gibson, Bill Stewart and head coach Rich Rodriguez – took in West Virginia's upset win over UCLA in the company of Jenkins, who appeared to enjoy the raucous atmosphere of the WVU Coliseum.

Since committing to West Virginia and putting on show at the U.S. Army All-American combine in January, Jenkins has been raking in offers and interest from all points on the map. And while the rising senior, who will be one of the top rated offensive linemen in the country in the fall of 2007, is listening to some of those entreaties, he also still has strong interest in the Mountaineer program. While this battle could go on for some time, and become quite heated, it reads here that it will be difficult to get the outstanding lineman away from the Mountaineers.
