Mountaineers Win NSCA Awards

Eight West Virginia University athletes have been recognized by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as All-American Strength and Conditioning Athletes.

Mountaineer gymnasts Janae Cox and Jaime Gold were honored: they will compete in this weekend's NCAA regional championship Saturday at 6:00 p.m. at the WVU Coliseum. Also honored were Mountaineer football players Keilen Dykes, Marc Magro and Abraham Jones, women's tennis player Natalia Prinz, wrestler Matt Holsopple, and Kelsey Fowler of women's soccer.

The NSCA recognized 239 collegiate athletes from 165 schools this year for their dedication and proficiency regarding strength training and conditioning. This is the 28th year of the NSCA recognition program.
