Relph Second Early Hoops Commit

McQuaid Jesuit High School's Tyler Relph is the second player in two days to commit to the Mountaineer basketball team. Relph joins Florida swingman Franklin Young as early verbals to West Virginia.

Relph who visited WVU this past weekend, has made a commitment, according to Dave Telep of

Relph is the type of multitalented guard who fits new head coach John Beilein's motion oriented offense. He is a solid outside shooter who handles the ball well.

Relph had offers from WVU, Clemson, Rhode Island, Northern Illinois, Richmond, and Hofstra. His final decision came down to WVU and Rhode Island.

Since July, Relph has been very busy, attending the Nike Invitational Camp in Indianapolis, Adidas BigTime Tournament in Las Vegas and the AAU Nationals in Orlando.

Relph joins Tallahassee, Florida swingman Franklin Young in Beilein's first class. Young is a shooting guard at Florida A&M High School in Tallahassee, but could play the two, three or even four in college. He averaged 19 points and ten rebounds as a junior.
