West Virginia defensive end Johnny Dingle had the best performance of his career in the Mountaineers' 31-14 win over Maryland.

Dingle recovered a fumble on Maryland's first offensive play to begin a day in which he finished with six tackles, including five solo stops, a sack and 2.5 tackles for loss in West Virginia's 31-14 win against the Terps. The Mountaineers enter this week's game against East Carolina at 3-0.

Dingle spearheaded a resurgent Mountaineer defense that is ninth in the nation in sacks.
