Perimeter Power

Everywhere you looked on Saturday, West Virginia receivers were blasting East Carolina cornerbacks and safeties.

The blocking on the perimeter, which came after a subpar effort against Maryland, helped the Mountaineers roll up 397 rushing yards in the 48-7 win over the Pirates, and the tone was set early in the first quarter by West Virginia's most consistent downfield blocker, Dorrell Jalloh.

With WVU holding a 3-0 lead, Jalloh threw a bonecrushing block that sprung Darius Reynaud for a 64-yard run, which set up the Mountaineers first score. In this audio clip, Jalloh talks about the block, the effort of his teammates in clearing paths downfield, and the compliments paid by head coach Rich Rodriguez.
