White, Brohm In Featured Matchup

The 2007 Davey O'Brien National Quarterback Award (The O'Brien) Semifinalist Match-up for week 11 is a Big East brawl in Mountaineer country between two O'Brien semifinalists.

The Louisville Cardinals, led by Brian Brohm, will bring their high-throttle passing attack to face off against West Virginia and Pat White's dynamic running game.

Fans can vote once daily on The O'Brien's Web site in hopes of moving their pick to the final round; the Fan Vote will count as 5% in determining the Finalists and Winner. Voting on The O'Brien's Web site, www.DaveyOBrien.com, is a new component to the award's voting procedures for 2007.

Louisville's Brian Brohm is the nation's fifth leading passer, accounting for 26 touchdowns and more than 3,200 yards this year. This senior is completing more than 68% of his passes and has been the team's true leader all season. Patrick White of West Virginia has led a Mountaineer attack that ranks seventh in the nation in scoring. White, the nation's eighth leading passer, has accounted for 18 touchdowns on the ground and in the air while completing 70% of his passes.
