It's deja vu for our player of the game awards, as we have repeat winners on both sides of the ball.
Offensively Avon Cobourne gets the nod again on senior day. Despite running against defenses stacked to stop him, Cobourne gained 138 yards on 25 carries, and added a touchdown in the Mountaineers' win over BC.
Cobourne also did an outstanding job blocking from his superback spot, as he showed why he's the best back in the Big East, if not the country.
On the defensive side, James Davis racks up his second straight award for his play against the Eagles. Davis blocked two field goals to keep West Virginia in control in the first half, and added a big third quarter sack that pinned Boston College back against their own goal line.
For the game, Davis had seven tackles, as was a major factor in holding the Eagles to only 80 yards on the ground.
