Davis Nabs Big East Award

James Davis invited Boston College to his own personal block party, and the results were a Big East accolade.

Davis was a key reason the Mountaineers posted a 24-14 win over Boston College. The senior linebacker blocked two field goals, both from behind the center of the line.

The first deflection came on a 48-yard attempt in the first quarter, with the second on a 22-yard try just before the end of the half.

It marked the first blocked field goals for a WVU player since Kevin Landolt rejected a boot against Navy in 1998.

Davis finished the game with seven tackles and a sack on defense.
