Sports Auction!

The Avery United Methodist Church in Morgantown will be holding their fifth annual silent sports auction on Saturday November 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The church believes this is the largest not for profit event held in the state of West Virginia. The event is sponsored by the fourth, fifth and sixth grade Childrens Ministry group. Proceeds go to the church building fund.

The list of items available at the auction is always impressive, and this year's is bigger and better than ever. Autographed items from former WVU players like Rod Thorn, Daryl Talley, Famous Amos Zereoue, Jerry West, John Thorton, Georgeann Wells (The Queen of Dunk), Duke Henshaw will be up for bid.

There will also be a numver of autographs and items from current and former professional players and coaches. A partial list of those include items from Shaquille O'Neal, Derek Jeter, Cal Ripken, Vince Carter, Randy Moss, John Wooden, Mike Krzyzewski, Eddie Robinson, Bobby Knight, Alex Rodriguez, John Elway, Larry Bird, Alonzon Mourning, Muhammad Ali, Dale Earnhardt Jr, Jeff Gordon, Arnold Palmer and many more.

Other highlighted items include autographed football helmets from Tennessee, Florida State, Miami, Michigan, Temple, and of course West Virginia University.

Need more? How about a Notre Dame jersey, visor and picture autographed by Ty Willingham? Or one of several golf packages? All in all more than two hundred top quailty items are expected to be available for bid.
