BlueGoldNews.com Features

As football season nears its end and basketball season is gearing up we thought we would take the opportunity to remind fans of the exciting features that can be found on BlueGoldNews.com.

The Scout database is an excellent tool to use when searching through for hot news on Mountaineer recruits or high school players throughout the nation. The Scout database covers football, basketball and also offers information on current rosters, both college and pro.

You can access all the info in the Scout database via the menu bar that appears near the top of every page on this site. Just click on "Scout" to get a menu of all the options available in this service that you can't get anywhere else!

You'll also want to take some time to look down the left hand side of the page - there are many reference items and great links that we think you will find of great interest.

Under the football section you will find just about anything you want to know about Mountaineer football. Insider Stats offers a week-by-week statistical breakdown of the Mountaineers and their opponents. The video vault includes videos of current players, recruits and practice drills. The almanac includes all time results from 1891- present, award winners, players drafted by the NFL, Bowl History and box scores, and All-Stars among others.

The basketball offers much of the same information as the football section. Insider Stats and the basketball almanac highlight this section. The almanac includes WVU's 1000-point scorers, tournament history, player records, awards, AP rankings, Jerry West stats, all-time lettermen and game by game scores that can only be found at BlueGoldNews.com.

Planning a trip to a game? Check out our road trip guide for information on local hotels and maps of the Mountaineer opponents. Our tailgating section will get you ready for the Saturday feast before the big game and or seating charts will ensure you find your seat without a problem. Our virtual seating chart of Mountaineer field, the only one you will find, gives you idea of the view from your seat before you get to the game.

Interested in other historical facts concerning WVU? Our history section covers Mountaineers mascots, decision makers, Hall of Fame members and scholars from Rhodes to Udall.

As always, we remember that you, our readers, are the driving force of this site. We're always open to your suggestions! Email your thoughts and opinions to us, and we'll do everything we can to respond to your request.
