Player of the Game-James Madison

He wasn't the leading scorer or rebounder, but freshman guard Jo Herber gets our player of the game honors against James Madison in WVU's 70-67 win.

"I thought Jo Herber did a great job in the second half of getting us setteld down and directing the team," head coach John Beilein said after the Mountaineers' close win over the Dukes.

We agree, which is why Herber is our player of the game. The freshman swingman did an excellent job of regulating the game, especially when the West Virginia offense struggled at times.

Herber scored nine points, but snared six rebounds against the much taller and stronger James Madison front line. He also handed out two assists and did not have a turnover in 32 minutes of action.
