WVU Football Verbal Update: 9/15

It was a very successful weekend on the playing field for WVU's Class of 2009.

Every player but one enjoyed a win this past weekend in action involving West Virginia's commitments for the class of 2009.

Last Game: Defeated St. Joseph's Collegiate 43-14. Buscik, returing to action after sitting out last week's game, had four carries for 21 yards and a touchdown. He also spearheaded the first team defensive unit, which allowed just one score.

"We're not worried about the rankings, we're trying to play our game," Garvin told DigitalSports. "We just want to come out and try to win all of our games." Garvin scored on runs of four, one, and 58 yards to again pace Loyola, ranked number two in the state.

Last Game: Defeated Granby 28-10. With his starting QB out, Heastie became the focus of Great Bridge's offense. He caught nine passes for 153 yards and three touchdowns as seventh-ranked Great Bridge continued to roll. Heastie scored on catches of 14, 42 and 46 yards and had half of the Wildcats' pass receptions.

This is what high school football is all about," Snook told the Medina Gazette of his production on the game-winning drive.
