Williams Earns Honor For MU Win

West Virginia linebacker Reed Williams has made a big difference in the play of the Mountaineer defense since his return to action against Colorado in week three. Today, he was recognized for his performance in WVU's 27-3 beatdown of Marshall.

Williams, a senior from Moorefield, W. Va., had a a game-high 11 tackles with two tackles for loss in the win. He helped spur the Mountaineer defensive effort, which held Marshall to 39 rushing yards and 158 total yards.

Since his return to the lineup, WVU has held foes to an average of just ten points per game.
