Three On Big East List

West Virginia put three players on the Big East list of notable performances over the past football weekend

Sophomore running back Noel Devine earned the offensive player of the week award after rushing for a game- and career-high 188 yards on just 18 carries. That included a 92-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter to spark West Virginia's 17-6 win against Syracuse. WVU is now 2-0 in Big East play. It was Devine's third 100-yard game of the season.

WVU also had two players with noteworthy performances earn spots on the Big East honor roll.

Kicker/punter Pat McAfee averaged 47.0 yards on four punts and scored four points in the win against Syracuse. The points moved him into a tie for fourth place on the Big East career scoring chart (334), and also set a West Virginia scoring record.

Safety Quinton Andrews had a game-high nine tackles with two pass breakups in the win, which earned him the final spot on the awards list.
