Light Weekend Visits

The football recruiting visit list was short for the past weekend, but things will likely heat up the next two weeks before the coaching staff departs on their bowl trip.

With several coaches on the road, the weekend recruiting list was a light one at the Puskar Center. Two players who did make it in for visits were Louisiana linebacker James Alford and Ohio defensive end/linebacker Reggie Smith.

Alford is built in the mold of current WVU spur Angel Estrada, and could play at either safety or linebacker. He had 75 tackles as a junior.

Smith is a highly regarded edge player who could play either linebacker or defensive end. He has a number of schools on his list, including Ohio State, Boston College, Maryland, Virginia and Wisconsin.
