WVU, LSU Agree to Series

West Virginia and Louisiana State have agreed to a two-year football series between the two schools.

West Virginia University Director of Athletics Ed Pastilong has announced that the Mountaineers and the LSU Tigers have agreed to a two-year football series starting with a 2010 game at Baton Rouge, La., and a return game in Morgantown in 2011.

"We are pleased to add this exciting high caliber football program to our schedule," says Pastilong. "This will be a great series and will give both fan bases an opportunity to see two of the best college football atmospheres in the nation."

West Virginia also will play three games against schools from the Football Championship Series (FCS). The Mountaineers will host Liberty in 2009, Coastal Carolina in 2010 and Norfolk State in 2011.
