Player of the Game - UNLV

Senior forward Josh Yeager came off the bench to provide the Mountaineers with a first half lift in their tough 70-67 loss to UNLV on Saturday night in Las Vegas.

Yeager lit up the Rebels for 17 points in the first half on 6-7 shooting from the field. The Belington Bomber hit four three pointers in the opening period to spark the Mountaineers to a ten point halftime lead.

"Josh was tremendous," head coach John Beilein said after the difficult loss. "He kept us in the game in the first half. We're going to need more of that from him.

"This was sort of his coming out party. I'm really proud of the way he's hung in there. He's the reason we had a ten point lead at halftime."

Yeager's boost came just in time for a WVU squad that was reeling from foul trouble. No fewer than four players gathered two fouls in the first half, and Yeager's sharp shooting was a huge factor in keeping the WVU offense clicking against the Rebels.
