It's Dayton in Minneapolis!

West Virginia will face Dayton in the first round of the NCAA tournament.

The Mountaineers earned a number six seed, and will face the 11th-seeded Dayton on Friday, Mar. 20 in the first round of the tournament. Gametimes will be announced shortly.

West Virginia's two wins in the Big East tournament helped propel it to the six seed, as victories over Notre Dame and Pitt boosted West Virginia's final RPI.

The Flyers figure to be the toughest 11 seed in the tournament, and will certainly not be an easy matchup for WVU. Should WVU get past that game, it would likely faced third-seeded Kansas in the second round on Sunday.

BlueGoldNews.com will have much more later, including interviews with players and head coach Bob Huggins, on the Mountaineers' NCAA selection.
