Wrestlers Bounce Back With A Vengeance

If one measure of a team is how well they respond to adversity, then the Mountaineer wrestling squad has passed that test with flying colors.

The Mountaineers opened their Eastern Wrestling League campaign with a 34-0 whitewashing of Bloomsburg on Saturday. The impressive win follows WVU's gut wrenching loss to Ohio State on Thursday.

West Virginia earned a technical fall and two major decisions in the rout. The featured bout at 174 pounds saw WVU's top ranked Greg Jones nab a late takedown to decision sixteenth-ranked Hunter Guenot by a 5-3 score.

The Mountaineers will be off this week before travelling to Columbus, Ohio next weekend for the National Duals.
