"When we got there, Coach Stewart was getting ready to go out to a banquet, so we talked with him first. We sat down with him in his office and talked a lot about the school. Then we drove around campus and got a tour, and got to see some of the things that I didn't get to see my first time there. I had gone down previously with my dad to visit, so this was my second trip there."
Schneider, who plans to major in business with an eye toward attending law school, got a full dose of the academic side of the equation on his trip.
"I met with some of the people from the business school, and we looked at the dorms and the law school too. Those were the biggest things that were different from my first trip. We toured the facilities again, and I got to meet with Coach Doc Holliday and spend some time with him too."
Previous reports suggested that of his finalists, Florida State might be trailing due to his lack of a return visit. However, Schneider noted that was not that case.
"It's pretty expensive to get down there, so that's why I didn't make another visit," said Schneider, who has visited the Seminole campus once.
The decision making process is now underway, and Schneider, who has taken a careful and thorough approach to the recruiting process, also has the final stages mapped out.
"I am putting down on paper the pros and cons of each school, and I'll also talk with my parents and my football coaches about it," he explained. "I want to have everything all laid out and put the big picture together. I would like to make my commitment by the end of the weekend."
