Big Target Is WVU's 15th Football Commitment

There's typically a burst of commitments just before fall football camps open, as high schoolers wanting to nail down their futures make the big decision before their own camps begin.

Such has been the case for West Virginia, as the Mountaineers snared their 15th commitment for the class of 2010 in the form of Quantavious Leslie of Callaway High School in Hogansville, Ga.

Leslie is a tall target that can play either out wide or in the slot. He might have been hidden a bit at Callaway, which does not throw the ball a great deal, and that fact could have affected his ranking somewhat. His length should help him be a downfield target in West Virginia's revamped passing game, as well as in the middle of the field when he runs from the slot position.

"He's a legitimate 6-3 and might even be 6-4," Scout.com recruiting analyst Matt Day said. "He has a lot of talent, and I think he has the chance to be good."

Leslie chose West Virginia over a host of spring offers, including ones from LSU, Clemson, Auburn, Oklahoma State and Tennessee.

BlueGoldNews.com will have more on Leslie soon.
