Pittsnogle was 10-15 from the field and a perfect 4-4 from the free throw line. He hit two of his four three pointers and added three assists and two steals as the Mountaineers moved to 11-6 overall and 2-3 in the conference.
The player of the game choice as a tough one, as Drew Schifino had another stellar effort. The Pittsubrgh sophomore scored 32 points, which was only one point short of his career high.
WVU rode an ultra-efficient first half to the victory, scoring 49 points in the first stanza. The Mountaineers shot 63% from the field and turned the ball over only three times. West virginia's patterned offense broke players free for open shots time and again against the frustrated Rutgers defense. WVU led by 13 points at the break.
The Mountaineers continued their excellent play int he second half, finishing with 20 assists and only eight turnovers for the contest. All five Mountaineer starters played at least thirty minutes.
