Making Adjustments

Marshall sold out in efforts to stop the run against West Virgina, and it took a little time for the Mountaineers to figure out and respond to the Herd's defensive tactics.

Offensive linemen Eric Jobe and Selvish Capers helped lead the effort against the Herd's blitzing defense, which caused WVU problems in the first half of Saturday's game. Some halftime adjustments and better execution helped the Mountaineer offense get untracked, leading to the 24-7 win.

Eric Jobe discusses the difference between the halves, and also commented on Geno Smith's cool play at quarterback.

Selvish Capers discussed Smith's play as well, noting that the freshman quarterback already displays many of the qualities of a veteran.
