Video Interview: Robert Sands

Robert Sands came up with big plays against both the run and the pass as West Virginia knocked off Pitt 19-16 in the Backyard Brawl.

Robert Sands had an interception and broke up three other passes in the contest. From his free safety position, Sands said he had good reads on the Pitt passing game, and he showed it by getting to the ball consistently.

He also had a huge play against the run, tracking Dion Lewis down as the Pitt runner bounced to the outside with lots of room down the sideline. Sands ran step for step down the line of scrimmage, finally corralling him and dragging him down to prevent a big gain.

In this post-game interview, Sands discusses his play, West Virginia's preparation for the contest, and the keys which allowed the defense to hold the Panthers to a single touchdown.
