Defensive Strength, Offensive Inconsistency

West Virginia point guard Joe Mazzulla isn't one to shy away from offering an honest assessment of any topic, and he did just that in analyzing West Virginia's performance in its 68-39 win over Duquesne.

Mazzulla shared the opinion of most in terming West Virginia's defense very good, as the Mountaineers throttled the Dukes on Wednesday evening. WVU didn't allow Duquesne to get its transition game in gear, and as a result the Dukes' offensive game sputtered overall.

The review wasn't as good on the offensive end, where repeated discontinuity kept WVU's offense from achieving any sort of flow or consistency. Mazzulla blamed a lack of communication for some of the problems, and detailed a few other issues that plagued the Mountaineer attack.

Watch as Mazzulla recaps the good and bad from WVU's win.
