Coaches Select Butler To All-District Team

Da'Sean Butler's hot streak continued on Tuesday, as he was named to the NABC District V first team.

Da'Sean Butler was joined on the Region V first team by Luke Harangody of Notre Dame, Wesley Johnson of Syracuse, Georgetown's Greg Monroe and Scottie Reynolds Villanova.

Butler topped the 2,000 point mark for his career in WVU's 60-58 Big East championship win over Georgetown, and is averaging a career-best 17.4 points per game this year. He also averages 6.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists per outing. He has hit 77.3% of his free throws while playing 36 minutes per contest.

The NABC selects a first team and second team for each of its 24 districts, recognizing the nation's best men's collegiate basketball student-athletes. Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC, these players are eligible for the State Farm Division I All-America teams, to be announced on Saturday, April 3, at 11 a.m. (EDT) at Bracket Town in the Indianapolis Convention Center in Indianapolis, Ind., during the NABC Convention and NCAA Final Four.
