Under The Lights

He probably wasn't expecting to get 12 carries in the Gold-Blue game, but West Virginia senior running back Noel Devine wasn't going to turn down the chance to shine in the last spring game of his career.

Although WVU head coach Bill Stewart said prior to the game that the Mountaineer program "knows what Noel and Jock [Sanders] can do," that didn't stop the Blue squad from relying heavily on their talents in its 39-0 romp over the Gold squad on Friday.

Devine carried a game high 12 times for 73 yards and a score while Sanders was right behind with nine touches (eight receptions and one carry) for 72 total yard and a TD.

Following the the game, Noel Devine spoke on that topic, as well as the format of the spring contest and the difference of playing in front of a crowd after the spring's work in an empty stadium.
