West Virginia will face something of a familiar foe for its opening round game in the Puerto Rico Tip-off in November.
will face Davidson on Nov. 18 in San Juan in the opening round of the tournament
. It's the second time in three years that the Mountaineers will have faced the Wildcats. WVU dropped a 68-65 decision to Davidson in the Jimmy V Classic on Dec. 9, 2008.
This Davidson team will be decidedly different from that squad, which was lead by uber-shooter Stephon Curry.
Should WVU advance, it will face the winner of the Nebraska - Vanderbilt contest. The Commodores are expected to vie for an NCAA bid, and would be the early favorite to advance in that match-up.
On the other side of the bracket, Hofstra goes up against North Carolina while Western Kentucky squares off against Minnesota.
Second round games are set for Nov. 19, with the finals slated for Nov. 21.
